I received messages from both of them about how nervous they were, even considering backing out of it all together. But they were too cute, and I was way too excited to let them get out of it! My first blind date photo session! (Yes for real, the people below… complete strangers less than 15 minutes before!)

I’ve seen several photographers across the country post about putting together these “stranger” sessions, where they pair up two complete strangers and have them participate in an engagement-esque type photo shoot. They looked so fun, I just had to have in on it!

I posted an ad on Facebook and Instagram seeking local singles in the Jacksonville, Florida area. I received lots of interest from ladies, with a few interested guys.

My little sister actually sent Jacoby my way. They work together at JSO. I requested his interests, then found his match with Sierra who shared similar interests. Both with great careers helping people (Sierra’s a nurse that gets to love on sweet babies), they’re both active, down to earth, up for adventures, and strong in their faith… faith being one of the most important qualities they were looking for in a partner.

I gave them outfit advice, set everything up, all they needed to do was show up! And they did… and they did NOT disappoint!

Jacoby showed up in his uniform (his idea, and I’m so happy he did!). Such a fun way to share a little bit about himself from the get-go. Oh, and he brought red roses for her, ya’ll! WHAT?! Extra points immediately. Sierra & Jacoby chatted a bit while I (slowly) got my gear together, then we went straight into making them feel as awkward as I possibly could!

The whole session they went right along with all of my crazy ideas, and they seriously worked it! So, was it a match? They did exchange numbers at the end (as I slooowwwllyy) packed up my gear 🙂 Either way, we all made new friends out of it, and had lots of fun!
