With wonderful food options and adorable shops, the Beaches Town Center neighborhood between Atlantic Beach, Florida and Neptune Beach, Florida is a very popular destination for both locals and visitors. I aim to schedule portrait sessions here before sunrise to avoid the streets and beach being overcrowded because this area is often packed with visitors. However, marriage proposals and portraits at sunset are completely possible!
In order to be in the heart of this exciting Jacksonville Beaches neighborhood, Andrew reserved a room at the beautiful One Ocean Resort in Atlantic Beach, Florida. The resort is lovely and the ideal location for a romantic date night, as well as a surprise marriage proposal!
As Andrew’s big proposal to Emily drew near, I gave him directions on where to go on the beach, suggestions on what to wear and how to get ready, and guidance on what to look for when he decided where to kneel down and propose to Emily. He did an amazing job! And look how great they both looked, her in her off white shirt and skirt set, and him in khakis with a light blue polo – I always love this color combination for outfits on the beach!
After he proposed, we immediately started photographing their short engagement session to celebrate and announce their engagement. The lighting changed to a mellow, lovely glow as the sun started to set. When the sky changed from blue to magical pink hues, the night became extra dreamy!
Here are some of my favorite images from the romantic sunset-inspired marriage proposal Andrew made to Emily on the stunning beaches of Atlantic Beach, Florida. Congrats to you both!!
