Dylan was nervous, and had lots of questions leading up to his surprise marriage proposal to his girlfriend of 4 years, Madi. He wanted not only a beautiful location for his proposal to Madi, but he wanted to give it a little something extra to make it even more special.

We chose Atlantic Beach, Florida as the location for his surprise marriage proposal, just north of the Beaches Town Center. Dylan wanted to propose to Madi at sunrise, and wanted to include their sweet, beautiful dog, Shelby.

Madi’s mom and sister actually had a part in the proposal, and purchased a blanket, pillows, candles, and additional photo props to help set the mood of the marriage proposal location.

Dylan also hired violinist, Corina, from Bella Musicana. He coordinated with them to ensure his and Madi’s favorite songs were played during the proposal. It was truly a beautiful and magical addition to his surprise beach proposal to Madi.

Luckily the rain held out during the proposal and for the start of their portrait session. Even though it rained during their portraits, we decided to stick it out and work through it, and I’m SO happy we did. This portion of their session reminded me of the scene from The Notebook movie – gosh, it was so dreamy!
